Whiteboard Wonders: creative thinking with a classroom staple

With paperless classrooms becoming more and more common the humble mini whiteboards are always close to hand, so how can we use them to promote creative thinking in a quick and easy way we can fit around everything else that’s going on?

We have the answer! White Board Wonders.

24 creative thinking activities that are speedy and engaging to jump into and are sure to expand the imaginations of any age group.

Naomi has been trying out some of our activity ideas with her upper primaries and picked this one as one of her favourites.

Last week their hands became , a multi-headed mythical creature, a bacterium, the whole world, a lettuce and a Grand Designs-worthy chandelier!

It's fun but it's also purposeful.

We want learners to develop the habit of seeing things differently, of “possibility thinking”. If this becomes a habit, the same skill - of thinking more flexibly and more broadly - can become part of learning in other domains.

Now, we do want teaching for creativity to be the “main meal” in learning, not just a snack on the side. But it makes sense to start with small steps; changes that fit into your daily routine, so you can begin to see the difference it makes to your learners.

So, with very excitable feelings we are launching our free Whiteboard Wonders resource this week!!!

Go on and grab your free download here and let us know what you think!
