Hello from Elastic Education!

So here we are merrily scattering words across your screen - but WHY?

Simply put, we are educators and we’re on a mission to transform learning through creativity.

We began our journey working with the Creative Schools program in Western Australia. We co-design curriculum learning with teachers that give students the chance to develop their creativity as they learn. Fired up, we delved into more study and connected with creative educators worldwide.

Now, we're bursting to share our insights. (Picture the kid so eager their raised hand is grazing the ceiling tiles and both bum cheeks are off the chair—yes, that's us!)

Creativity is pretty magical, but it doesn’t have to be a mystery. We want to share the ways we use it in real life classrooms.

On our blog each week we will publish our notes from our own creative classrooms - the brilliant ideas and the flops, the solid gold inspo and the uphill struggles. It can be an isolating experience to try something new. It might feel like a risk too far, but by sharing, we’d love to help you feel more courageous. Since the two of us joined forces as Elastic, we’ve become a lot braver by sharing our experiences - warts and all - with one other.

There is going to be so much to talk about! This year, Naomi will be teaching Year 5 and 6 students (aged 10-12) in a Government Primary School; Shona will be designing and facilitating sessions for a homeschool collective of Early Years learners.

The blog will be minimum waffle, maximum value. If you subscribe below, you won’t miss a drop.

Get to know us better by having a look around the rest of our freshly reno’d website. While you’re here, snap up our free guide to JUMPSTARTERS with five activities to spark engagement and build creative learning capabilities.

Join the conversation on your favourite platforms Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn where we will be sharing heaps more ideas.

Until next time... stay curious!
